We’ll swipe, drag, and layer acrylic paint across the canvas to create vibrant blends, cool textures, and totally one-of-a-kind results.

 FOR AGES 8-12

An experimental watercolor workshop focused on exploration, texture, and creative discovery. Students will experiment with fun techniques like salt effects, splatter, lifting, and resist while learning how water and pigment interact. This process-based class encourages curiosity, creativity, and freedom from perfection—perfect for artists who love to explore, play, and see what happens when they let go and paint! 

For ages 13+

For all ages! 

In this fun and imaginative class, kids will learn how to create their very own comic books! Young artists will explore storytelling through pictures by designing characters, inventing stories, and laying out comic panels. We’ll cover the basics of comics—panels, speech bubbles, expressions, and action lines—while encouraging creativity and confidence.

Learn how to mix vibrant, harmonious watercolor colors while avoiding muddy washes. Students will explore color theory basics, practice mixing from a limited palette, and discover how water control affects color intensity and transparency. This class is a great skill-builder for all levels and helps artists gain confidence in creating clean, expressive color combinations.Feel free to bring any watercolor materials you may already have, not required. 

For ages 16+

A one-hour workshop focused on getting families to create together. Kids 5+ and their parents can sign up to create with clay at the Kish Center. All supplies will be provided with the registration fee.

Parents/Guardians must register and attend with any children under 14.

Get ready for a roarin’ good time in “Animal Adventures”! Throughout this week, students will run wild with their imaginations, creating art inspired by nature and the animal kingdom.

In our “Intermediate Art” camps, students will learn about different art techniques and concepts, explore a variety of art mediums, and further develop their own creativity. This camp is designed for students aged 10-12 who are familiar with the basics and want to delve deeper into the world of visual art.
