Enchanted Forest

Take a magical journey through the enchanted forest, where fairy tale characters mix and mingle to create new stories. Students will become their favorite characters and even create new ones as they work as a team to make their way through fairy-tale adventures.
This class is part of our NEW Creative Drama series, which develops theatre skills in an accessible way through theatre games, exercises, and creative exploration. It is a process based curriculum, with lots of freedom to create the stories and characters that most ignite and excite the imaginations of young actors. In Enchanted Forest, students will focus on CHARACTER CREATION!

Improv: Fundamentals
with Robert Mitchell
Looking for something fun to do with others? Check out this introductory improv class. Whether you want to perform or just try something new, this class is for you! You’ll learn lessons of acceptance, confident vulnerability, and collaboration while learning the basic structures and games in improv comedy! And when you finish, you just might become a better partner, parent, co-worker, friend, or, well...person!
This class ends with a graduation show on Friday, March 6th.
No previous experience is necessary to take this class.
Broadway Beginnings

Ages: 5 - 7
Curtain up and light the lights because we're taking center stage! Explore singing, dancing, and acting through songs from your favorite musicals and movies in this introductory musical theatre class. Students will learn the basics of musical theatre performance as they sing and dance three group songs.
All skill levels are welcome!
This class is part of our Musical Theatre Pathway, which develops theatre skills through ensemble work, storytelling, music, and dance. In Broadway Beginnings, students will focus on teamwork and confidence!
Triple Threats

Ages: 12 - 15
Take your musical theatre training to the next level in this triple threat class! Students will work on musical theatre repertoire and choreography, strengthen their vocal skills, and hone their acting abilities. In addition to ensemble based performing, students will also delve into solo and monologue work, preparing them for auditions and shows in their future!
Students will showcase selections of their classwork as a part of our Collage Day on Saturday, February 14th. 2 tickets to this event are included in class registration.
This class is part of our Musical Theatre Pathway, which develops theatre skills through ensemble work, storytelling, music, and dance. In Triple Threats, students will focus on acting through song, vocal technique, and choreography!
Broadway Bootcamp

Ages: 8 - 11
Learn songs from Broadway musicals while honing skills in acting and dancing! Students will learn common musical theatre dance steps and work on ensemble singing, all while acting through song.
All skill levels are welcome!

Drawing Basics
with Allison Frink
If you’ve always wanted to learn to draw, but aren’t sure where to start, this class is for you! We’ll cover basic perspective, value (shading), people and animals, and how to get your eyes and hands working together. Supplies included.

Fun with Clay
with Heather Stevens
This six week hand building class is a great way to start your week off! Students will create a creative coil bowl centerpiece, a mug combining painting and dipping glaze, and a beautiful platter perfect to use at your next gathering or hang on the wall as a work of art. Of course, if your creativity is taking your projects in another direction, create what your heart desires. With your class registration, you have access to the studio an additional two hours per week during Open Studio so the fun can continue (or so you can make up a missed class). Join us as we enjoy creating art with clay and come join the clay community at the Kish Center!

Intermediate Drawing
with Allison Frink
This intermediate drawing class is for artists who have some experience, but want to keep developing their skills in form, value, and composition. (If you’ve taken Drawing Basics, this is the next class.) We’ll mainly work in graphite and charcoal, so bring a sketchbook and your favorite supplies to class.
