Calling all middle school actors who are ready to take their training to the next level! In this class, students will learn acting techniques, delve into scene work, and practice monologues. Participation in this class is sure to help any young actor with upcoming auditions and productions, allowing them to feel confident and prepared for any theatrical venture ahead of them.

This class is part of our Acting Pathway, which develops theatre skills through acting techniques, storytelling, and collaboration. In The Middle School Acting, students will focus on scene work and monologues.

Get ready to get those toes tappin' and fingers snappin'! In this class, students will fine tune their musical theatre style dancing. This class is perfect for musical theatre actors who want to polish their dancing or anyone who wants to build their confidence for auditions, callbacks, or for the big show! Entry-level to intermediate wheel-throwing class, adapted to accommodate all skill levels. Students will learn and strengthen foundational wheel-throwing techniques, including centering, pulling, and creating functional forms. As skills develop, students will also have the opportunity to work on projects of their choice with individualized guidance.

Curtain up and light the lights because we're taking center stage! Explore singing, dancing, and acting through songs from your favorite musicals and movies in this introductory musical theatre class. Students will learn the basics of musical theatre performance as they sing and dance three group songs.

This class is part of our Musical Theatre Pathway, which develops theatre skills through ensemble work, storytelling, music, and dance. In Broadway Beginnings, students will focus on teamwork and confidence!

Calling all creative souls that are looking for a more open ended class! This two hour class will teach the basics of hand building while leaving projects intentionally open for your creativity to shine. This session will include demonstrations on carving, slip trailing, and layering glazes. If you are prone to staying up late thinking on your projects or enjoy the pull of going in your own direction, this class is the one for you!

With your class registration, you have access to the studio an additional two hours per week during Open Studio so the fun can continue (or so you can make up a missed class). Enjoy taking a pause mid week and doing something you love-come join the clay community at the Kish Center!

Over the course of the program, you will learn the rules of improvisational acting and the fun behind improv games.

This class is for people who want to improve their watercolor skills. Whether you are a beginner or have dabbled with watercolor for a while, this class is for you. Personal instruction in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Participants will have at least two finished pieces and gain more confidence with the medium.

Supplies to bring:

- Watercolor paint palette

- Watercolor brushes (size 10 round, size 5 or 6 round, 1 inch flat, size 1 rigger brush)

- Kneaded eraser

- 100% cotton watercolor paper (at least 8 sheets) Examples include Strathmore 9x12 or Arches 9x12)
