Clay Club- Tuesday Wheel

This 8 week guided advanced course is designed for students that are looking to dive deeper in their ceramic knowledge. Wherever your creativity leads you, there is something for everyone in this class. Whether you want to create large-scale work, make a teapot, or try something you have never tried before, instructor-led demonstrations will explore these projects and more! Prior experience required. Aprons are highly recommended.

Spring Exploration on the Wheel — Afternoon

Ready to get your hands muddy? This 8-week beginner-friendly pottery course will introduce you to the basics of wheel throwing. We’ll cover everything from centering clay on the wheel to creating simple, functional forms like mugs, bowls, and vases. You’ll also explore surface decoration and glazing techniques to give your creations a personal touch. No experience is necessary, just bring your curiosity and a willingness to play with clay! By the end of the session, you’ll have several finished pieces that are food-safe and ready to enjoy, gift, or use around your holiday table. This class is designed to be fun, supportive, and a little messy! Roll up your sleeves and come make something beautiful with us!

Beginning Calligraphy with Copperplate Script

In this class, we will take and in-depth look at Copperplate, which was popular in the early 1900’s. This classic form of lettering brings an unlimited amount of possibility and beauty to writing. We will use both pencil and pointed pen with dip ink. Students will practice the classic letter forms and learn basics of pointed pen. The book, Copperplate Calligraphy Practice Book, by Christen Allocco Turney, is the textbook for this class and is a requirement. This class will cover lower case letters, connections, and enable you to complete the first section of our "textbook." We will be using this book in each class (see supply list in class resources.) You'll be able to take your "scribe skills" and apply them to cards, envelopes, gift tags, letter writing, and so much more! Six, 90-minute sessions will be included in this introductory course.

The Wandering Pencil- Wednesdays

$195

Calendar Mar 18, 2026 at 2 pm, runs for 6 weeks

In this supportive drawing class, you'll learn to sketch what you see and what you imagine. We'll explore the basics of line, shading, and form using pencil and charcoal—and you'll even learn the grid method to create drawings that look incredibly real (no tracing needed!).This is a class for people who think they can't draw. You'll leave feeling like an artist. If you are more experienced, we will challenge and encourage you to explore new horizons in technique and approach.

This course gently guides students from sketchbook anxiety to artistic self-assurance. Through life drawing, figurative illustration, imaginative exploration, and structured photo reference work, students will learn to draw with joy, accuracy, and style. The grid method offers a framework for realism, while creative prompts invite personal expression.

Bring Your Own Supplies | Encouragement Supplied in Abundance

Supplies needed:

• Sketchpad – 9x12" or larger (PLEASE, NO SMALLER THAN 9X12")

• Pencils – HB, 2B, 4B, 6B (mechanical pencils welcome!)

• Vine charcoal sticks• Kneaded eraser

• Blending tools – tortillons, stumps, or paper towels/Q-tips

• Pencil sharpener

• Ruler (for gridding photos and sketchpads)

• A printed photo reference (Instructor will provide samples, but students may bring their own)

• Optional: Fixative spray

There will be no class on April 8th

Payment plan available: $50 deposit plus 2 payments of $72.50, paid weekly.
