Fun with Clay
with Heather Stevens

This six week hand building class is a great way to start your week off! Students will create a soap pump, creative vase, and explore surface techniques. Of course, if your creativity is taking your projects in another direction, create what your heart desires. Join us as we enjoy creating art with clay and come join the clay community at the Kish Center!
There will be no class held on Septmeber 1st or September 22nd.

Broadway Bootcamp
with Jetta Whitehurst

Ages: 8 - 10
Learn common musical theatre dance steps and put them together to create dances to favorite songs from stage and screen!
All skill levels are welcome!
Students will showcase selections of their classwork as a part of our Collage Day event on Saturday, September 20th. 2 tickets to this event are included in class registration.
Class space is limited.
Improv: Characters and Relationships
with Joe Lemmo

Have some prior improv experience and are looking to sharpen your characters andrelationships you create on stage? We got you! In this class, you will focus on accessingemotion in-the-moment, building characters and relationships from emotionalperspectives, and using patterns of emotional behaviors to drive scenes forward! Eachweek you will work on creating characters and relationships that show patterns ofemotional behavior.
To get the most out of this class, it is recommended that you havetaken Fundamentals of Improv or have previous improv experience.
This class ends with a graduation show, date and time TBD.
Center & Unwind: A 2-hr Wheel Class for New and Experienced Potters
with Crystal Atkinson

Ready to get your hands dirty and bring some creative flair to life? Whether you’re just starting or you’ve got a little wheel experience under your belt, this 8-week pottery class is perfect for you! From learning the basics of centering clay to mastering the art of shape and form, we’ll focus on crafting functional pieces that are as fun to make as they are to use. Explore everything from mugs and bowls to more whimsical pieces — all while having a blast with fellow clay enthusiasts! Expect lots of hands-on guidance, plenty of creativity, and a chance to create pottery that’s both beautiful and functional. Come spin the wheel and leave with something you’re proud of!
Class Focus: Basics of wheel throwing for beginners and intermediate students Emphasis on form, technique, and practical design Make functional pottery that is both fun and usable Small class size for lots of one-on-one attention
Class Details: 2 hour wheel throwing instructional time with all clay and materials provided including a range of studio glazes 8 week course Kiln firings included in class fee

Dance for Musical Theatre
with Iri Kim

Join iri for a Musical Theatre focused workshop starting this August 12th for a 6 week series every Tuesday night from 7:00 - 8:15 pm. Designed for the beginner dancer to the seasoned mover as she will refresh dancing basics, teach stage presence/confidence, and how to pick up choreography in a jiffy. Iri has over 25 years of experience in the movement space and she is excited to bring back her love of performance to the Woodstock Arts community. She choreographed 2024 A Christmas Carol this past season, and you can find her teaching yoga and dance in the surrounding Atlanta area.
Creative Souls (Clay Handbuilding)

Calling all creative souls that are looking for a more open ended class! Now 2 hours! This class will teach the basics of hand building while leaving projects intentionally open for your creativity to shine. If you are prone to staying up late thinking on your projects or enjoy the pull of going in your own direction, this class is the one for you!
