Altered and Inspired: Visual Journaling

$199

with Harmony Reid

Calendar Aug 14, 2026 at 2:30 pm, runs for 8 weeks

Altered and Inspired is an 8 week class that invites adults to transform old books into one-of-a-kind works of art through mixed media and visual journaling techniques. Using collage, drawing, painting, cutting, layered textures, pop-ups, interactive pages, and found materials, students will explore creative storytelling and self expression while giving forgotten books a new life.

This class is a welcoming space to experiment, play, and express yourself while learning new artistic techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment. Whether you love journaling, mixed media, paper arts, or simply want to spark your creativity, each session offers opportunities for personal expression and artistic discovery. No prior experience needed, just bring your imagination and a willingness to explore.

Supplies will be provided including the old book, but you are free to bring your own if you prefer! Scrap book papers, found objects, and ephermera will be provided but you may bring extras as well.

No class September 25th.

Payment plan available: $50 deposit plus 1 payment of $149.00, paid every two weeks.
